Basically my requirement is to read from the window, which is difficult to believe would endanger the systems.

It's not that reading from the window itself might endanger the system, but that Apple might change the internal API, causing your app to crash, making a newly-updated system appear unstable.


File a bug requesting the functionality you need, then contact DTS.
