Thanks for the tip, I've made that function simpler (displaying a red
circle):
- (void)drawLayer:(CALayer *)theLayer
inContext:(CGContextRef)theContext {
CGRect theRect = CGRectMake(0.5, 0.5, 1, 1);
CGContextSetRGBFillColor(theContext, 1, 0, 1, 1);
CGContextFillEllipseInRect(theContext, theRect );
}
