Again, I'd argue it works just fine. Start with the view as specified in IB. Then change the title, then try to adjust the size. In this example, buttons have an intrinsic size that the system uses, based on the content.
But my situation is the text view and split view pane, which (AFAIK) don't have intrinsic sizes. So, a good starting point is the size specified in IB.
