Uh, I don't think so. Your ink limiting the chart and not reducing the
amount of color samples. If I used a 260 ink limiting would I have less
patches than if I created the chart with 400% ?? Monaco professional
software allow you to select the number of color samples and set ink
limiting independently.
Monaco Profiler 3.1 and 3.2 have the same functionality in terms of Ink
Limiting. When you limit ink, before the patches are printed, the software
reduces the number of patches automatically. Specify your Max ink and press
the Return key to see the changes in patch numbers. This shows that the
target is Uniform in it's make up and the patches that are discarded have an
CMYK ink value greater than that of the limit you have set.
