A good example of where Approval was not designed (or marketed) for
proofing. If you want to use Approval, it's not that difficult to get it
(using its built-in process) to simulate actual press conditions so long
as those actual press conditions are within the capabilities of Kodak
Approval. It's a lot easier to get just colorimetry the same from proofer
to press than it is BOTH colorimetry and dot size/shape the same between
proof and press. That said, if there is difficulty getting Approval to
match press conditions, it's probably due to ink set or paper issues with
the press just not being something Approval can simulate. Flexography is
a good example. (Crayons would be another.)
