Simple CM Solutions ?

Can any users out there comment on the relative effectiveness, value and
ease of use of some of the simpler "turnkey" color management solutions
for the Mac platform such as the offerings from X-Rite, Monaco or Color
Vision ?

I'm looking for simple, low cost solutions that would be appropiate for
students and new comers to the color management arena.
