Anyone care to comment on the ink dithering capabilities of EFI's Fiery

Photoshop RGB files seem to print the best, probably because they need
the least processing. The same files when inserted into either Xpress
or Illustrator suffer significant color shifts and very poor dithering.
Check to see if the black generation in the CMYK you are sending is very high.
One thing people find as soon as they start sending CMYK to inkjets
is "normal" black generation causes peppering in many colors. In the
RGB drivers, the manufacturers keep the black very low so black ink
does not get used until the lower shadow colors. Perhaps you should
be recreating your CMYK profiles with lower black gen?
