Is it really too bright compared to process yellow?
If so you just have to up the yellow channel (if using PC) or Mac just up
the maximum tac a little. The Epson yellow ink by nature is very orange and
as CDTobie once said that it's this quality that rounds out the gamut.
Therefore you'll regain a bit of gamut, more orange yellows if you prefer.

As Best explains in the manual that linearisation is left up to the user to
do by hand and no presets could be counted on reliably for this important
underlying optimisation. Well that's when we see that colour management
changed with ICC + Colorsync but still requires manual intervention and
judgements as always.
