So here is the trick.

I set each of the R G and B guns to 100% and then backed the B and G guns
off until I got to D50. I now measure a whopping 137 cd/m^2.

I have two workstations with two Lacie 22s. Now I can set them all up to .30
cd/m^2 black and 100cd/m^2 white luminosity.

A side note about price. I paid $1129 each for my LaCie Electron 22" Blue II
w/Hood 2048x1536 @75Hz. I noticed the same retailer selling the Mitsubishi
22" DiamondPro 2040u USB 2048 x 1536 @ 75Hz for $1175.

I always assumed the Mitsubishi was a less expensive monitor.
