general comments on color managing copiers would be appreciated.
The splash only allows you to use certain parts of a profile that your would
like to simulate. You can't make it use a destination profile for the
docucolor, that's what the ColorCal is there for. And since the splash only
uses parts of the profile, you can't counter tweak the offset profile to
bring colors into place, if needed.

How often to calibrate, using ColorCal?
At least once a day, depending on the environment.

How about setting up a simulation of my offset with it?
I've had moderate success, but nothing even close to what I can achieve by
using an ICC destination profile on top of the ColorCal.
If at all possible I'd set up something like Praxisoft AutoFlow to handle
the color management, and just use ColorCal in Splash.
You'd have to print PostScript docs to a folder available on a network drive
though, instead of using a spooler in the chooser.
Hope this helps
