Could you explain what that means a little more?
I did at one point trash the icons inside the Display Profiles folders in
the ColorSync Folder, but the system reverted back to the problem condition.
Also I have moved the start-up icon from one screen to the other in Monitors
to see if the missing profiles would suddenly appear in the lists, and it
makes no difference. Unless one needs to makes that change and then restart,
which I didn't. I did however re-launch Monitors.
Is there a specific sequence in which those steps have to occur?
The problem isn't that the wrong custom profile is coming up on the wrong
monitor. It's that the Monitors Control panel cannot even see the Optical
profiles.

Yes, I'd love to understand more about those mysterious 256 and 257 icons in
the display folder. I currently have four icons in that folder, two are
aliases that point to the other two:
The electron19b (1) alias points to Display Profile 256
The NSB1107U (2) alias points to Display Profile 257
Joel, if you can shed any light on the matter, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks everyone...
