Hi Gerard,
Did you load the bpl-file as linearization also together with the
profile? I know a lot of people, who are satisfied with the
results - the only issue I know, when the results are not good is,
when a profile is generated based on a bpl and after that the bpl
is loaded parallel to the paperprofile. You have to link the pro-
file to the bpl (filenaimgconvention) and don't load it as Linea-
risation!
Keep in mind when you create a profile based on a delivered bpl,
that the bpl-file is used two times, when you load it manually and
you also have linked it to the profile!
Maybe I should explain one thing also:
It was never the intention of Best Designer Edition, to create
custom-profiles for it.
We designed the product for users, who want to get a proof as good
as possible whithout messing around with Profilegeneration, cali-
bration and so on (or how do our guys in the CMM-department say:
a Out-of-the-box-Rip).
If you want to make your own baselinearizations and need more in-
fluence in color management, the right solution from Best is our
nt-server based product, which cann also be accessed by AppleTalk!
Best regards
