n-color profiles

  • Subject: n-color profiles

The graphing engine in ColorThink 2.0 (not released yet....please be patient) has undergone a full rewrite and can now build gamut volumes of profiles from 1 channel to 8. Unfortunately we can't seem to get our hands on any hi-fi (or low-fi) profiles other than Hex.

Could anyone who has access to / has built some n-color profiles please contact me and send some over? (unusual 3 and 4 channel profiles are welcome as well)

It's tough to know if this stuff is working correctly without good test data and an 8-channel profile is a little hard to fake.

Incidentally Pantone's Hex profiles can graph in pretty strange ways sometimes, makes me wonder just how much tweaking has gone on with them. Monaco and CB-built profiles seem to be better behaved.
