I am responsible for moving a fifteen member staff university publication
staff to a reliable and usable colorsync system. Photographer, print
designers, graphic artists, web designers and management. All Apple macintosh
systems with 100mb networking and servers.
Color upgrade budget $20k (purchased in next two weeks)
Current workstations: 15 G-4's with 22" Cinema Displays and 21" Pressview XL's
Comp printer: HP 8500
office printers: HP 4500's, 4050 and 2100's
Camera's: Nikon D1 and F5's and numerous studio camera's
Film Scanners: Nikon SuperCoolscans and Nikon 4500 medium format
Here are my thoughts:
Proof Printer: Epson 5500 with Fiery RIP as it is available at $7k
Color Calibration and profiler: GretagMacbeth iProfile bundle at $10k
Your recommendations would be highly appreciated.
