Thank you for the offer. Kindly ask him for precise instructions on how
to print a CMYK file without the default (or any other) output profile
being applied (i.e. with all color correction off, in order to print a
profiling target).

If you output your file with simulation settings to none, I believe
the Fiery ignores the output profile and only used the calibration
curves since there is nothing to convert. I have found that if I send
the same image to the 2060 via Fiery RIP but with different output
profiles set in the RIP, the color is similar as long as the
simulation is set to 'none'. If this is true, when profile targets
are sent to the Fiery with simulation set to 'none', only the
calibration curves will do some adjustments which is a valid profile
procedure. I plan to do all color management BEFORE the Fiery and
keep the CM functions of the RIP in "sleep mode".
A little background of my situation: I have been monitoring the
colour stability of our Xerox DC12 and 2060. I have found the 2060 to
be less than consistent by calculating the Delta-e on the daily
calibration targets. I would like to here how other printers find the
color consistency of the DC12 and 2060.
Soon I will get into making profiles for these devices so please
critique me on my Fiery profile theory.
