We basically set Matchprint as our standard, or our Destination profile.
Humm...are you sure you don't mean SOURCE profile? If your speaking of your
Iris, I'm pretty sure you use the MatchPrint profile as the *source* and the
Iris profile as the *destination*. I know that sounds backwards but that's
how it works.

What do you mean by "better results"? The one that gives the closer *match*
to the RGB image or the conversion that gives you what you most *want* to
see? Remember, it's not necessarily about the separation that is most
"pleasing" but the conversion that most faithfully realizes or matches the
original image. And you also didn't happen to mention whether these RGB
images are coming to you tagged with a profile. If they're not, all bets are
off as to what you *should* be getting.
And are you using Photoshop 6? And how are your Color Settings config'd?

This has been discussed many-a-time so I'll only say to try Relative
Colorimetric as your rendering intent and see how you like that. If what
you're seeing is too light overall and is lacking a bit in saturated colors,
it's likely the Perceptual rendering intent you're using is getting you in
trouble.
