I'm surprised no one has
mentioned how those miniscule bits of plastic and dust that probbaly
get scraped off the special i1 ruler get inside the front cone of the
device and on the glass in an impossible to remove place - great
design - not.
Although this could be an issue - experience will show, I have had the
Eye-One for various months and have not noticed ruler particles in the front
cone. Before pronouncing judgement regarding whether or not it is a design
flaw, however, the correct thing would be to test. Have time for the ruler
shaving test? Please let us know the results. This could theoritically be
a problems with the X-Rite DPT41 - paper particles being trapped inside the
device which fall off of the strips as they pass through - any experiences?
