I haven't used EZ for quite some time but early versions had the
unfortunate ability to clip highlights and shadows.

Funny, I noticed that too (especially highlights) although after
contacting Monaco and exchanging files, numbers, etc. they didn't see
a problem. Glad to hear someone else noticed it. It was version 1.5
when I was looking at it.
