Well, it's not just a 1/2 number upgrade. Version 5.0 to 5.5 is one thing,
but a new "whole" number usually designates a major upgrade and you can
expect to have some backward incompatibility if you're saving in a "native"
format. Same thing happens with other apps, Quark 3.x to 4.x for example.

Now if they had screwed up backward compatibility of "standard" file formats
such as Tiff, EPS, etc. then that would be another story but i don't think
that's what I'm hearing.
