The Silverfast guide is so badly written that you can't make sense of it.
They even recommend that 'most users' scan into monitor space. Guess that
excludes the list members here.


Go figure. I've read at least three references to 'monitor space' being used as a reference color space and it really has me scratching my head. The latest, Roland's Colorchoice v4 RIP manual (or it may be the FJ500 printer manual - I forget - state to use 'monitor profile' as your RGB input profile. They don't explain why so I don't do it. I haven't bothered to explore it because I'm still trying to explain to users here that scanner IT8 profiles are not RGB working color spaces.
