the default RIP setup produces gross, muddy seps from RGB images (tagged
w/Colormatch space) that have very weak magenta and yellow channels. I
printed a CMYK IT8 and made a profile w/Profilemaker Pro. the vendor has no
idea how to adjust the sep setup on the RIP (I know this is really their
problem but I'm stuck with them for the time being and the Indigo people
have left for the day).
I have not had any experience with this RIP which is supposed to be PS L3.
not sure whose RIP it is--runs on Win NT though the interface doesn't look
like the ubiquitous Harlequin. anyone had any experience with this? I/we
need to figure out how to take this profile and get it into the RIP as a
separation table. according to the last Indigo tech I talked to the RIP has
full support for color-managed conversions.
