Hi all,
I'm wondering what profiling options are available for the Microtek
Scanmaker 4600 I got as a Christmas gift. I normally use much higher-end
scanners here at work and the Microtek is just for general home use, but it
seems to have lots of horsepower (42-bit, 1200 dpi) so I'm thinking that if
I can profile it, it might turn out some nice scans. The Colorsync controls
in the Scanwizard interface only has options for 'Destination Space' and
"Monitor Profile". Shouldn't there be a 'Source' choice too?
If I get some kind of inexpensive profiling software, is this scanner model
able to support it? I don't see any way to select a scanner profile in the
controls. Thanks in advance for any guidance any of you can offer.
