Hi Jim and Bob,
the 'wrong' Values are correct. The most Profiling Softwaretools use the
'Dotgain area' for the total inkamount and Black lenght calculation . In
this case it depends on your Printout which values will be selected. If your
Rip or Printdriver can4t set the Inklimit the Profile use very low settings.
That is the reason why BESTColor 4.2 use a Baselinearization. If you create
your own Baselinearization, you can set Inklimit for each Color and you can
create a good Graybalance. Inside the Colormanagement Menue you set the
total Inkamount for the Printout. If you select the Correct Value (depends
on the paper and Ptrinter) and use this settings for printing your
Profilingchart you will get very good results. For creating the profile you
must set inside the Profilingsoftware 100/400. Important is, that you use
this Profile everytime with this settings (use the ProfileKeeper for
implementation inside the Profile).
