Hello everyone! I goofed!
I just heard from Robert Eversole and we had a very nice and
productive conversation. There were legitimate (mostly technical)
reasons for him not responding to one of my sales inquires. And he
did convince me that the tech staff was very very busy when my
messages were sent and thus missed my inquiries to them. He was sorry
for the way those events transpired.
And I am sorry for not contacting Robert and notifying him of the
breakdown in communication before submitting my previous reply.
Recently I have been the insignificant little bug when trying to get
assistance from very large corporations and that put a chip on my
shoulder. I see Praxisoft is a company that cares about their clients
and is working with existing as well as trying to obtain new clients.
Aren't we all! If only Apple were a small business...

Your experiences with Praxisoft are the same as mine. I have been
asking questions of their tech support for technical issues and
sales (Robert Eversole) for sales issues and they rarely respond to
me. This has caused me to investigate other products & companies
extensively. I feel like I wasted a few thousand bucks on them. I am
open to amends if one of them reads this and actually responds.

Speaking of unprofessional, I find this type of "venting" on the Colorsync
list to be most unprofessional.
As a customer caught in the middle of the Mach 1 debacle, I was faced with a
choice of continuing with the Colorbyte RIP or switching to the new Ergosoft
product. My experience with Praxisofts level of tech support (almost none)
led me to stick with the smaller and more responsive Colorbyte. I would get
responses from Praxisoft that ranged from: "well, all of our people are at a
trade show" or just plain never responding to my emails for tech support.
On the other hand, I have always had excellent tech support from Colorbyte
and they have even gone as far as producind custom profiles for me when I've
run into profiling problems.
Additionally, I have been quite satisfied with the Colorbyte RIP and has
performed exceedingly well.
This is not a "soap opera" nor a "cowardly lie", it is simply the truth
based on my experiences.
Sincerely,
Tim Catlin
