I don't think you need to consider output gamu much at this point (apologies
to Henrik, and his output based scanning scheme), but can simply be sure that
your monintor profile is being used for preview, and the file converted to
workingRGB on import. You can then use the proofing features in Photoshop to
deal with CMYK gamut issues... this theory is based on the idea of a
reasonably wide gamut universal RGb image, that can be used for many things
and converted to many output choices later, not a squashed, biased, CMYK
determined file suited only for a single CMYK device.
