I recently changed my CMYK profiles and before copying the new profiles over
to a production mac
i deleted the old ones and then copied the new ones over.
I then checked my new profile and did a conversion and it was still using
the old profile, but it did not exist on the mac.
I then used Sherlock to find all profiles with this name and there was only
one with todays date.
so i tried it again and deleted prefs and profiles and then received same
result.
so i did a convert to profile and it was showing 2 of the same profile
I have 4 or 5 job specific colorsettings, so i ended up updating my
colorsettings with the new profile in them and it worked fine.
so it looks like saving colorsettings has a memory for profiles?
my profiles are named exactly the same,so if it was still there wouldnt it
overwrite the old one?
i store all of my profiles in the recommended folder in the colorsync
folder.
this just suprised me a little and i was wondering if anyone else has seen
this or can explain it.
thanks
