Sensitivity to changes in humidity...
And why is the
inkjet
technology more stable?
Inkjets are largely uneffected by humidity variations...
And heat. A toner drum preheats, heats, and cools. The consistency of
the alloys involved changes over time similar to that of a stove top
element. The required temperature to begin operation and the
temperature of the drum at completion of a job or a number of jobs
varies, all within the manufacturer's range of tolerance. Toner,
respectively, does not have the same tolerance built into its
adhering qualities.
