Whether you wish to adjust your CMYK channels manually, a la Margulis, or
wish to control your CMYK channels with ICC profile conversion, and choose
instead to read Blatner and Fraser's Real World Photoshop, you can make a
case for the extra channel control from the RIP... its just not as strong a
case as it used to be.

Yes, there's likely to be one or another variable that the expert will catch
that you might not... especially in CMYK profiles, but rolling your own is
getting simpler than it used to be.
