i just got colorvision's profilerRGB. the manual says to ALWAYS leave
the Printer Color Management option CHECKED, even when the generated
profile is selected in the space pop-up.
the manual further explains that if the box is unchecked, the epson
driver uses the colorsync system profile to define the printer's
colorspace. when checked, the manual asserts, the driver will use the RGB
space selected in the RGB dialog setup.
hmmm. this seems contrary to what i've read here and elsewhere. i
thought that checking the box means that the driver will do its own
conversion of the source colorspace into the printer colorspace, instead
of the (i thought) preferred method of controlling such conversions in
photoshop.
can someone familiar with this software please clarify?
thanks.
