how would you linearize the desktop Epson many want to use for
"proofing " now, I mean 1200/1270 1290/1160 - is it possible in
your opinion?

I have seen incredible results [incredibly good] from the
SC900 with Epson ink and paper.

Only way I can think of is by trying different paper settings
and trying them at each of NoColorAdjustment / Vivid /
PhotoRealistic.
