My own experience with this is that absolute colorimetric didn't work.
We made a profile of Matchrpint and then profiled Iris.
Doing a profile to profile in photoshop added a yellow cast to the
background of the paper.
The yellow cast didn't help. It was much darker than the matchprint
base. Our customers who viewed the proof all rejected it.
