Hardware brightness adjustment - iMac monitor

  • Subject: Hardware brightness adjustment - iMac monitor

The monitor on my Bondi iMac is too bright, even with brightness turned all
the way down. Making a profile with the Optical/Spyder combo shows a black
level of 0.45 cd/m2 and a white level of 119 cd/m2... (I wonder, does the
Photocal version give any other possiblities?)

I recently read on this list that someone had the same problem and talked
about the possibility of crancking down the brightness with a direct
hardware adjustment - but that this was something that only a few
technicians would know how to do. Is there anyone who knows how to do this
and could help me out?

cheers
Chris
