proofing RGB on CMYK device...

  • Subject: proofing RGB on CMYK device...

What would be the best procedure to proof RGB files intended for an RGB
device (in this case back-lit trans. "film") on a CMYK device? Obviously
one would want to preserve as closely as possible the original colors in
the RGB file. Is there such a thing as Wide CMYK? What would be the ideal
CMYK profile to seperate the RGB? We need to proof out on a IRIS 2PRINT to
give the printer some idea of what we are giving them.

Thanks,
