That is quite significant!
I seem to be missing something here - do you have something against the
Eye-One? Maybe I just don't spend enough time on the Internet, but the only
place I have heard complaints regarding the Eye-One (and that includes
clients, etc) is in your posts.
I think an argument like "the color is ugly" or "I don't like the box" would
be more feasible than that no beginner (as in another post or above) has
been able to use it correctly. Until now, there has been no Spanish version
available, and I have had no problems with Spanish speaking people using
the device correctly. Until the programmer can make hands pop out of the
monitor and calibrate it for you, I don't see how it can be more clear or
easy for someone to use. If you refer to the difficulties of using it with
an Apple Cinema, that is due to the controls of the Cinema. The fact that
the Cinema has no contrast, the brightness isn't really brightness, and
there are no phosphors, does not make the software faulty or difficult.
That is why there is a button "Not available on this display". For CRT's it
is a no-brainer.
Once again, for the scanner, allowing you to scan the IT8 just about how you
want and then use the sticky frame to align is difficult to make easier.
Regarding the paper whiteners, it will be nice when the UV filter is
available for rare circumstances, although not a big factor for us as we
always include advice on the correct selection of papers when introducing
someone to color management.
Nothing personal, but I just couldn't take it anymore. :-).
