You deal with the influences of light conditions by insuring that
conditions are invariant for reference purposes. In the RW a camera
profile may only be a starting point, as RW conditions can vary. So
what?
Your next question puzzles me. The inference appears to be that
because we cannot achieve perfection we should therefore do nothing?
The practical answer to your question is to get as close as possible
using measurements and then use aesthetic judgment to further close
the gap between this and the desired result. Judging by your
immediate comments however you appear to have limited interest in
practice?
