I have been using a bulb in my house for the last 2 years that has a
different spectral distribution than the typical household tungsten lamp or
a quartz light bulb. Its sold through a local health food supermarket. Its
sold as an assist to people suffering from SAD, (Seasonal Affective
Disorder) a form of depression resulting from lack of exposure to sunlight.
(A common affliction on Canada west coast)
I have been curious as to its suitability as a light source for proofing.
Not having the instruments to test it, I can only judge visually. And
descibing it seemed pointless as the version I have is made in France,
based on a Finnish patent, and obviously has limited distribution.
This link just became available, so I can at least direct interested parties
to identify it

If anyone having the instruments to measure its output has an interst, I
would like too hear how it performs as a proofing light source.
