The problem IS with the Measure Tool. Gretag support recommended trying to
communicate with the Spectroscan via the ProfileMaker tool (the inverse to
your recommendation) and that failed as well.
I will try the other port. Terry what settings are you using in the Keyspan
driver, Printer Emulation on or off? Epson support on or off? Simulate
printer on? Modem on?
My experience to date has been that the older Gretag application:
Spectrochart Lite liked printer emulation turned on and Profilemaker liked
printer emulation turned off.
I am using an older SpectroScan not purple. Do you think that purple color
has an effect on the profiles :=). Oh well.
If this problem persists I am thinking of trying a PCI serial adaptor if
there is such a beast. Any ideas there, I am getting a little desperate
here. Still down and a job needs to get done. Typical.
