Is there any "standard" density values in a 4-colourprocess?
Now we run (as standard) Cyan 1.35, magenta 1.35 yellow 1.20 and black 1.80
(Euroscale)
Now I learned that I should print as much as the machine can take. (and
still keep open dots in the screen) Its a word for this, but I cant recall
it in english now...... you all know what I mean.
The problem is that I tried this, and our press could take a lot....Up to
1.7 - 1.9 in cyan for example. That is all good I suppose. But what happens
when a customer sees his logo with this values instead of the old one?
I mean (for example) 100% cyan....Theres a world of difference between 100%
cyan in 1.35 or 1.9 density.....dont you agree? And yet the ColorSync-people
recommend that you do this...
Wouldnt you get a more accurate print if they standardized the
density-values instead ??
