Yes, I've seen it and the paper is a huge factor here. Basically, with many
"standard" printing papers for proofing, you get the option of seeing
something accurate right out of the printer (but not hours/days later" or
accurate after dry down (a time period that is questionable).
There are some "proofing papers" on the market that appear to be optimized
for very quick dry down and stability. One is made by Mitsubishi (off hand I
don't recall the exact number) and Dupont makes a paper for ink jet that not
only dries quickly but has a pretty "yellowish" base that is supposed to
closer match their "Matchprint" proofing stock.
