The Creo Profile Wizard makes ICC DeviceLink profiles that allow you to do
this. Basically, they preserve the original CMY to K proportions as much as
possible for all colours. For pure black and white objects this means that
they are transformed into mainly black with a small amount of C,M or Y for
the hue adjustment in order to get the colorimetric match. By clicking on
the Pure Black option, the pure black input will be transformed into pure
black output, with only an L* adjustment.
