A simple question and I think I already know the answer to it, but I want to
confirm the validity of my assumption. When editing a profile in
ProfileMaker, upon saving the profile, the edits are cleared. If I wanted to
undo an edit I made, can I simply open that edited profile and do the
inverse of my previous edit? I realize I can save the edit list and go back
to it, but I have an instance where I can not do that. For example, if I
were to make a -50 Saturation (extreme example) and then save. Then later
reopen that saved profile and do a +50 Saturation. Would I be right back
where I started? I know when editing images this will not be the case
because you are adding 50 Sat to the already -50 sat image which will not
bring you back to where you started (we all know you can't make a color
photo from a B&W photo by simply adding saturation). If memory serves me
correct, all profile edits, if done within the ICC Spec, will have the
ability to be inverted.
Finally, is there any advantage to using the original profile and calling up
the edit list and removing the edit, or will the profile me exactly the same
if I were to just invert the saved edit?
Thanks for the help.
