You should get very similar results by setting Print Space to "my
custom profile", and choosing No Color Adjustment in the printer
driver.
Just don't specify the custom profile twice.

For general printing to an Epson inkjet from Photoshop:
If the mode is set to ColorSync do any of the settings in the ColorSync
control panel, other than possibly the monitor profile, have any effect or
does the paper choice in the printer driver determine the output and/or
proof profile?
