That was the issue of "printer color management" that I hoped to avoid. If
you do not have printer color management set, then no profile data is sent on
down to the driver, and a default assumtion is made instead. The assumption
would most likely be sRGB on the PC, and the monitor profile on the Mac, but
I haven't tested recent versions to see, since I avoid blind transforms
whenever possible. Printing from the Adobe application allows you to turn
this advanced color management setting off, and choose source and output
profiles (plus a more comprehensive set of intents) in the main print window.
