Should we be looking at Profiler Pro, the Spectrocam, or our technique?

We are using Indelible inks on Epson Archival Matte paper, and in a Mac

Most often when I hear complaints about cross color pollution or overlay
scumdots in yellows, its from people who want ink cartridge yellow even
though the yellow they are actually reproducing is darker, and perhaps a
different tone that the inkjet produces in that media. The solution for that,
with ColorVision profiles, is to use the Saturation intent, which will tie
inkjet yellow to source yellow as closely as possible.
Another possibility is that the Indelible inks tend to be a bit "metameric",
in this case meaing the spectro sees them a bit less green, thus adding cyan
dots to the yellows in compensation. This could be corrected laborously at
the data text file stage, or you could make an attempt at it with a profile
editor, though remapping primaries is not my favorite profile editor task.
I'd suggest dealing with it in the ColorVision profiling target, by using
Replace Color to select the tones in question, and make them a bit more green
before you print the target (basicly correcting what the spectro will see),
so that the software and will compensate later. Be sure to try the tip above
first, before getting involved in hacking the spectro targets!
