Q1: You can use the "Set Profile Info" script located in the Apple
Extras/ColorSync Extras/AppleScript Files folder. See the ReadMe file
for info on its use.
Q2: I suggest you get the program Snitch. It will allow you to set the
type and creator from a panel attached to the Info window. Since
AppleScripts have to be edited to work for other file types imported to
the Mac (e.g. PDF, TIFF, JPEG), Snitch is a much easier to use solution.
Snitch is shareware and available from sites such as cnet.com and
mirror.apple.com. I am not affiliated with Snitch, just an admirer of an
elegant tool.
