Question regarding 1.:
Where can I find that ApplesScript?
Quastion regarding 2.:
I tried ResEdit, but OS 9 still does not recognize the .ICM profile. It
works just fine unmodified in OS X though. Where can I get this
"DropColorSync"?
Thanks,
Arnold
1. There are no internal formatting issues for profiles when crossing the
platform.
As you already found out there's an Applescript yoing the job which comes
with ColorSync.
What does it do? -- It simply assigns a type/creator code to the profile
which isentifies it as an ICC profile. As this is proprietary to the
Macintosh (and does not exist on a PC) you are stuck with doing this on the
Mac.
Hope this helps,

2. Try using the program Res-Edit.
Res-edit is a MAC (only Mac) application and Cathy has something better and
easier to use on the Mac than that - DropColorSync!!! She wants something
similar that works on the PC!
Cathy,
The application mentioned above isn't on you wish list for PC's
