New to this calibrating adventure, while attempting to calibrate my
TiBook (to facilitate encoding crossplatform video files for the web),
I experienced something of a crash while in OsX 10.1.5
I cannot exactly pin down when it occurred - I think it was during the
loading of a profile - the dialogue box broke down into striped black
and white lines and that was that. Repeated cold reboot in OsX 10.1.5
got me as far as showing the background screen with a movable mouse
on it but no further booting. It boots up fine in 9.2.2
Might there be a corrupted preference file, as is sometime the case
with FinalCutPro, for instance, and if so where do I find it and
is it OK to trash it?
While here, could someone be so kind and instruct me as to how
to proceed to calibrate LCD monitors (a TiBook and a LaCie Photon18Blue
on a W2K/ATIRage128GL(AGP) for reasonable DV color balances?
Help would be much appreciated.
