There aren't too many RIPs out there that are able to make use of embedded
profiles in Photoshop EPS. I think Harlequin in capable od such feat. But in
the case of Onyx PosterShop, say you successfully extract the profile out of
the Photoshop EPS file and put it into the RIP, you can only use that
profile as the source profile for the entire PostScript file : is that what
you want to do? Does PosterShop allow you to use that profile as a default
for any images which are not tagged with any profiles while honoring those
that have?
Just as a side note. Last time I checked (v5.5), the built-in Logo CMM did
not carry an AdobeRGB to CMYK conversion like Photoshop would -- CMYK to
CMYK, yes, but not RGB to CMYK, for some reason. Has that changed in v5.6 or
is still the same?
