It's an option that is enabled in ProfileMaker 4.1 IF it detects optical
brighteners. I assume it's looking for a certain -b threshold where the
option kicks in. You can simply select a checkbox if you want it to correct
or not. The option is grayed out if it doesn't "see" any UV. From what I
understand, it does sort of a smooth roll-off of the UV portion if you
select this as opposed to the hard cut-off at 380-400nm that the typical UV
filter would employ.
Couple of things to keep in mind:
You MUST enable the Spectral option in Measure Tool to use this feature. If
you open the measurement data file, you'll actually see spectral readings
from 380-730nm every 10nm. Pretty cool.
