Hello all,
i asked a company for helping us to create a ICC profile for offset
print. They send us a color chart TIFF file, and we ask our printing
company to offset print it. We send the print out and did the profile.
1: Should i use this ICC profile for my CMYK working space in ColorSync
and Photoshop setting?
Our film output and offset printing house told me they will NOT do any
color management.
2: If i want to offset print a photoshop file, should i ***convert the
profile*** to that offset print ICC profile first (if my CMYK working
space is different than that ICC profile), then pass the file to them
(i think they will discard it). OR just pass the photoshop file with my
WORKING CMYK profile embed? (they will discard it cos they dont do any
color management)
We also use bestcolor for inkjet proofing.
3: Should i convert the photoshop file profile to that offset print ICC
profile before printing to bestcolor? OR i just print to bestcolor with
my WORKING CMYK profile embeded? ( i think this make more sense, cos
bestcolor will do the convertion...?)
Please help me, i am really new to color management.
Thank you very much.
:-)
